Elombi said the bank expects more than 4,000 delegates to participate in its 33rd annual meetings, scheduled to be held in Egypt’s Al- Alamein City from June 19 to 24, 2026.
He praised Egypt for its steadfast partnership and support since the bank’s establishment, describing the country as a cornerstone of its success.
The high-level event, held at the St. Regis Almasa Convention Center, is attended by senior government officials, central bank governors, diplomats, and representatives of regional and international financial institutions.
Elombi highlighted the remarkable growth of Afreximbank, noting that it expanded from “a relatively small institution with only $6 billion in assets and just $105 million a few years earlier, to over $40 billion today.
Held under the theme “Decades of Impact as Building Blocks for a Prosperous Future,” the two-day event marks the official farewell of Professor Benedict Oramah, outgoing President and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
